The Government of Independent Tatarstan in Exile expresses deep condolences over the tragic death of Andrii Parubiy
Andriy Parubiy was an outstanding statesman and patriot of Ukraine, who left a bright mark in the struggle for independence and the democratic future of his country.
Andriy Parubiy was acquainted with the Deputy Prime Minister of the independent Tatarstan in exile, Nafis Kashapov. They participated in events in Kyiv and Warsaw together, and although, unfortunately, no joint photographs have survived, this friendship and cooperation itself became an important symbol of solidarity for us. Once Andriy Parubiy said the following words to Nafis Kashapov: “If in 1552 the Russians destroyed your state, now they are also trying to destroy our state of Ukraine.”
Andriy Parubiy supported the nations subjected to Moscow’s colonial policy and spoke out in defence of the independence of Tatarstan. We are deeply grateful to him for this. His name and deeds will forever remain in the memory of those who fight for freedom and independence.
Blessed memory to Andriy Parubiy.
Sincerely, Press Service of the Government of Independent Tatarstan in Exile
